Cathodic dip coating
The environmentally friendly coating solution for components with complex geometries.
This electrochemical process coats the object by applying direct voltage across it in a dipping bath. The result is a highly uniform coating of constant thickness and optimal surface quality on metal surfaces and in cavities.
The essential properties at a glance
- low solvent content, so environmentally friendly
- suitable for various metals (steel, light alloys, nonferrous metals)
- ideal coating for components with complex geometries
- resistant to solvents and insensitive to alkalis and acids
- excellent corrosion resistance
- uniform, reproducible coating from 10 µm possible
- thick layer cathodic dip painting up to 50 µm possible
- coating also suitable for decorative purposes
- electrically insulating effects
With optimal processes to the ideal surface
- excellent priming for downstream powder coating
- enhanced corrosion protection in conjunction with the pretreatments: zinc, zinc + phosphate, zinc-nickel, and zinc-nickel + phosphate
- inhouse plant with series-connected cycle type machine including specific pretreatment equipment
A wide range of cathodic dip painting combinations, for example
- Blasting
- Degreasing
- Pickling
- Passivating
- Phosphating
- Anodising
- Galvanising
- Galvanising + phosphate
- Zinc-nickel
- Zinc-nickel + phosphate
- Powder coating
- Wet coating
